Staff Qualifications and Requirements
In accordance with section 1002.421 (1)(m), F.S. level 2 background screenings through FDLE VECHS program or those have been been determined by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to be "eligible" are required for all employees and contracted personnel with direct student contact.
The following are minimum requirements for each teacher:
1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in any subject
2. Three or more years of K-12th grade teaching experience
3. Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in K-12th grade subjects. Pre-K experience and certifications would not meet this requirement.
4. First Aid/CPR certified
